Information To Text Us:

To help us assess the situation and prepare for the animal's arrival, please include the following details in your message:

Species & Age: What animal is it, and is it an adult or a nestling/juvenile?

Condition: Describe any visible injuries, and please state if the animal has been attacked by a cat or another predator (this requires immediate, specific antibiotics).

Location: Where are you currently located?

Transport: Are you able to safely transport the animal to our rescue center in Cranbrook (TN17)?

Please note we are currently unable to collect any rescues outside of the Cranbrook and Sissinghurst area.

Photos/Video: If possible, please attach a clear photo or short video of the animal and it's injuries.

Avian Pox and Canker

We are currently unable to accept pigeons or other birds suffering from avian pox.

Avian pox typically appears as wart like growths, scabs, or bumps on the unfeathered areas of the bird, such as around the eyes, beak, nostrils, and/or feet.

Please also check inside the bird's mouth for canker, which presents as soft, cheesy, yellowish white growths or plaques along the throat and mouth. To check easily, gently peel open the bird's beak in bright lighting or using a torch/phone light to inspect the back of the throat and tongue.

If a bird has canker, we will treat it and will not euthanise birds for having this condition.
